Acceptance Policies and Procedures
All prospective residents will fill out the Gateway Entrance Request form, which includes the following information, and return it to Gateway at the address found on this site or fax entrance form for consideration:
Plans for sober living activities
Acceptance Criteria includes:
Having completed a substance abuse treatment program or 14 days of residential treatment or a referral from a women’s correctional treatment center
Evidence of willingness to be responsible for continuing personal recovery
Female adult age 18 or older with no children in custody
Ability to have discharge papers forwarded from recognized treatment facility
We also accept women who have been involved in human trafficking either through prostitution or drug related issues.
A phone interview or in-person interview will be scheduled with the Program Coordinator and the qualified applicant. A phone interview or in-person interview with current residents will be scheduled with the qualified applicant. During the interview, overall rules of the program will be explained to the qualified applicant. The applicant will be notified within 24-hours.
Length of Residency
Twenty four months is the maximum stay, but extensions may be granted on a case by case basis. Residents will be discharged from Gateway to Discovery either upon completion or violation of certain rules, including failure to make progress on their treatment plan.
